Abstract: | Orthorexia Nervosa is a new type of eating disorder, in which individuals suffer from a pathological fixation of eating a healthy diet that can heavily interfere with their social lives. The state of research regarding assocation of self-esteem and body dissatisfaction levels with Orthorexia is inconclusive. The present study examined these assocations by using cross-sectional data collection, as well as experience sampling. The study was able to establish that both trait and state levels of self-esteem and body dissatisfaction are in some way asscoiated with Orthorexia. |
