Abstract:The study aims at investigating the different correlations between strengths use, the character strength "love", depression, and anxiety in young adults. The hypothesis of the research states that all variables are significantly associated, and that the use of character strength “love” shows to be associated with fewer symptoms of depression and anxiety. The study looked at day-to-day experiences of the four variables using experience sampling method with a cross-sectional survey design. The study examined the experiences of 13 individuals between the ages of 18 and 25 who experience frequent symptoms of depression and anxiety. Overall, the study showed that even though strengths use and "love" show to be significantly negatively associated with depressive and anxiety symptoms, participants still show to use their strengths even when experiencing depressive and anxiety symptoms.
