Abstract:AKOR BV wants to improve the throughput time of their service department. This thesis finds a solution to the following problem AKOR BV is facing: "The average throughput time of the service maintenance process at AKOR is too high". This problem is solved by first collecting information on the current processes inside the service department, and by collecting information on optimisation methodologies and corresponding tools. The chosen methodology and the chosen tools are used to create a solution to the problem AKOR BV is facing. This solution consists of two newly designed processes for the two sub-departments of the service department, and a tool for implementing these processes.
