Abstract:The National Instruments LabVIEW application for data acquisition in the combustion test cell at the new location of OPRA Turbines has been upgraded. During the internship, the LabVIEW application was split into two main parts: data acquisition/analysis and control of the test cell. For both systems, the graphical code and the user interface has been produced. For the data acquisition system, the data of the newly integrated sensors are implemented into the application. In the report, the LabVIEW code for the data acquisition system is explained extensively in combination with the user interface. The graphical code in the block diagram of the LabVIEW application has been used to give a detailed illustration of how the application works. The control system for the combustion test cell has been developed from scratch, since there was no control system present at the old facility of OPRA Turbines. The conditions for automatization were created during the building phase of the combustion test cell at the new facility. The graphical code, communication methods and graphical user interface for the LabVIEW application were created during the internship. The LabVIEW code is used to control the status of components in the combustion test cell that can be controlled via a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller). In the report, the communication principles of the control system between the control computer and the PLC are described and based on these principles, the code for the control system can be expanded in the future. Furthermore, the control system of the gaseous mixture panel in the combustion test cell has been developed. Since a different PLC is used in terms of compatibility with LabVIEW, a different LabVIEW code was developed to control the gaseous mixture panel.
