Abstract:This paper is concerned with exploring the relationship between leadership and time-to-market in an improvisational setting. First a literature review is provided in which the concepts of leadership, time-to-market and improvisation are listed. After this qualitative and quantitative analysis are made of theatrical simulations in order to research how leadership can influence time-to-market in an improvisational setting. The three leadership styles which are included in this research are directive, rotating and servant leadership. This paper contributes to the existing knowledge by exploring the relationship between leadership and time-to-market in an improvisational setting, which is a relationship that requires some additional research.
