Abstract:In the last decade organizations are increasingly involved in CSR activities whereby they need their employees as volunteers. Through company supported employee volunteerism (CSEV) organizations are able to have significant impact on their surrounding environment and form a bond of commitment between the employee and the organization. Three forms of commitment; affective, normative and continuance commitment, are investigated in this research to establish how committed Rabobank employees are towards the organization, CSR and CSEV. Results demonstrate that Rabobank employees are committed to their organization, CSEV and CSR, because they see it as an obligation to pursue continuation of their employment. In addition, they feel a strong emotional relationship which translates into a family-feel of belonging.
