- About the libraryThe University Library combines a comfortable study environment in the Vrijhof with university-wide services that support students and researchers in areas such as information literacy, publishing, and data management. Its expert teams—including Information Specialists and Data Stewards—contribute actively to teaching in bachelor programmes and offer guidance through workshops, individual consultations, and tailored support for education and research. In addition to this, the library manages key scholarly infrastructure such as repositories and research information systems, helping ensure long-term access, visibility, and integrity of academic output across the university. History When the third technical university in the Netherlands was founded in 1961, an associated library was also established. In the early years, library facilities were still basic and the university library services were housed in a villa in the city centre of Enschede.
