Abstract:This thesis researches the planning and scheduling of the bright beer cellar at Heineken. The bright beer cellar functions as a buffer in the brewing process of Heineken. Due to the nature of this buffer a quantitative capacity assessment is difficult. This research uses a approach of Rough-Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) in combination with an allocation model for assessing the capacity of the bright beer cellar. The used allocation model in the RCCP approach is also extended to a model that can be used in the operational environment.
