Abstract: | This research is focussed on process mining of the appointment scheduling. Therefore, a database with appointments over 2017, 2018, and 2019 is analyzed and visualized. The neurology department of Deventer Ziekenhuis treats a broad spectrum of complaints and is characterized by patients that are treated within one consultation and great variation between patients with the same diagnosis. During this research, we looked into the access time, reimbursement, and differences between doctors' way of working. After analyzing the data, we conclude that the quality of service has improved over 2017, 2018, and 2019. We recommend the neurology department to validate the research because as a result of the COVID-19 crisis, we did not have access to the hospital. Besides that, we also recommend taking a closer look at the differences between the number of appointments for patients with the same diagnosis. Right now no patient satisfaction is evaluated, this is our last recommendation. |
