Abstract:Toyota Material Handling wants to increase its ability to implement Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) systems in a logistical setting. To achieve this, the thesis focusses on improving the identification process of AGVs. By analysing the current method used by Toyota Material Handling in a case study, generating alternative solutions and identifying decision criteria the result of this thesis is that a decision tree model based on a created generalised strategy is delivered. The identification process can be improved when knowledge of the identification concept is available and solutions to the identification problems are identified using a structured approach.
