Abstract:Managerial spin-offs (MSOs) create for complex organisational culture (OC) dilemma’s. Literature identifies that on average the MSO enhances nine employees to the newly created organisation. In addition, it is suggested that these employees are imminent to spin-off survival, due to the organisational member's tacit knowledge and past experiences from the corporate organisation. In this research, the experience of organisational members regarding OC in the MSO is analysed in a case study setting with approximately 85 employees. By centralising the organisational member, specific insights in OC complexities are provided. With the help of a mixed method research, it is explored in what way the MSO process influences OC, how this OC change is perceived by the organisational members and whether there are differences amongst managers and non-managers.
