Abstract:This paper will try to find differences between how blockchain startups and investors in blockchain startups weigh investment criteria. These differences can be anticipated to by blockchain startups to better correspond to the investment criteria investors in blockchain find important, and investors can use this information to analyze the investment criteria where blockchain startups lack in generally first to save time in the screening process. The focus will be set and the conclusion will be based on whether the jockey or the horse is the most important factor in the blockchain space, that is respectively whether the management team or the business is the most important factor for investors to invest (however, in this research more features are added). The results give reason to assume that investors think different investment criteria are important with regards to the phase of where the startups finds itself in.
