Abstract:system into the garden of the consumer. This has been done for Techmar B.V. who products include garden lighting. This colour lighting system exists of a RGB-Powerledmodule and a central control system. The RGB-Power module exists of a RGB-Power LED with a driver. The control of the RGB-Power led can be done by a remote or with signals through the power cables. The RGB-Power led can do all these actions stand-alone, and for extra functionalities the central control system can be added. To put this colour system in the right way on the market a development cycle has been created to get a concept with recommendations as a result. In this cycle the analysis in chapter 2 are made which are relevant to the Program Of Requirement (P.O.R.) The P.O.R are all the requirements and wishes where the end concept has to comply to. The P.OR. summarizes the following analysis: trends, market research, target group, environment, and the company profile of Techmar. In the chapter 3 and 4 the answers to the P.O.R are being found. In these chapters the main results are a concept for an armature, a colour scheme and the interface of the colour lighting. The armature are a pillar and a movable armature. These armatures are specifically designed for the trends where the garden is decorated as the interior. These types of gardens are paved and filled up with other facilities which can be found in a interior. These facilities consist of: low sitting area , dinner tables and kitchens. The colour lighting scheme is sprout from the idea that there has to be an ideology behind this scheme. The main important scheme creates four types of atmospheres according to the mindstate of the user. These four schemes are: Romance, Cosy, Serenity and Party. The interface is designed to add too the experience of the four schemes. The main concept is the cube, where four sides of these cube represent one of each scheme. The two sides which are being left over are used to turn the lighting off or control it manually. Changing between these different modes is done by turning the cube, where only one hand is needed. The topside function of the cube is activated. To test the conceptual armatures, colour schemes and interfaces a benchmark has been created with a prototype to validate the results. At last in chapter 6 the final concept is presented in the form of further developed concepts of the armatures. Whereby recommendations are made to further develop the armature with a interface. In this report all the research is logged to assist in the further development of the concept.
