Abstract:The engine of the Track dieselmotorbike is missing any protection against dirt and stone chippings coming from the front wheel. An accessory to lift the motorcycle with his wheels of the ground is also unavailable. The solutions to these two problems can be found in this report. A movement deviated from a jack is used to lift the motorbike of the ground. Transferring horizontal forces into vertical ones is a perfect fit for the needed movement for lifting a motorbike. When this principle is combined with an electric linear actuator, (un)folding can also be automated. After several design sessions to minimalize the needed force, a frame is developed around the engine that has room for a jack and actuator. This jack can also be unfolded by foot. All of this is surrounded by an ABS guard, so the former mentioned problems will be solved. With the development of the different parts, the following matters have been taken into account: ease of use, choice of material, possibilities of manufacturing and design. The CAD model will be the end product of this research, and the next step will be prototyping and testing it before the product can be taken into production.
