Abstract:Patients with chronic diseases need skills, knowledge and motivation to self-manage their diseases on a day-to-day basis. Personal Health Records (PHR)are seen as promising self-management Support Tools in the chronic care and are encouraged to be integrated into the health care System. Studies suggest tailoring system designs to personality types may be of importance for adoption, but little is known the relevance of personality for the effectivity of PHR Systems to enhance self-management in patients with chronic diseases. The study explores the association between effectiveness of PHR and personality.
