| Abstract: | This research was conducted to determine what a freshwater sustainability ecolabel (dubbed waterlabel) would look like. The ultimate goal of such a waterlabel is to influence consumer and producer habits in the use of freshwater by providing information. To create an ideal waterlabel, existing literature about freshwater sustainability and ecolabeling was combined. Current ecolabels were assessed on their inclusion of freshwater sustainability criteria by comparing their labeling schemes and missions. |
