Abstract:Due to the highly dynamic business environment, organizations need to constantly change and adapt to be able to survive and succeed. The management of change has therefore become a high frequently discussed topic. This research will examine the role of interim managers as the managers of change while they are engaged in strategic change processes. An empirical research method will be conducted with a literature review to draw a conclusion how interim managers deal with the knowledge gap about the focal firm, while they are engaged in making radical strategic changes.
