Abstract:DAT.Mobility is a software development company based in Deventer, the Netherlands. DAT.Mobility develops the traffic modeling software package OmniTRANS, that is used for strategic long term planning. OmniTRANS has an extensive junction modeling functionality, but the algorithm used to calculate a solution for the Traffic Assignment problem is outdated. In this thesis a new algorithm called TAPAS is reviewed and changes to the algorithm so that it can work with the junction modeling module of OmniTRANS are proposed. A prototype is used to show that TAPAS with the proposed changes performs better than the algorithms currently available in OmniTRANS
