Abstract:Background: Chronic pain is a common phenomenon. The consequences are often to notice in the daily activities and social and working life. Especially a society where everyone is 'busy' causes chronic pain to have a negative impact on many aspects of quality of life. It has been shown that receiving social support provides significant result in the reduction of pain. However, getting support is not always easy, especially when people around you are too 'busy'. Chronic pain is a common problem, and it is proved that social support reduces pain. It is important that there are good psychological interventions that are attentive to this. A psychological intervention wich focused on previously mentioned is the online intervention ´haal meer uit je leven met pijn' based on the principles of ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). Research has been done to clarify the experiences of participants in this intervention, so it can eventually be improved. Specific attention is paid to the involvement of the environment and how the intervention is implemented in their everyday life. Method: Using a semi-structured interview attempted to clarify the experiences of participants. Three researchers have interviewed 18 participants by telephone. All interviews were transcribed and coded, and each researcher could thereafter focus on their own research question. Results and conclusion: The participants said they could integrated the course well in their everyday life, in particular coping with pain is changed rather than the pain symptoms themselves. The results are consistent with the title of the intervention ´haal meer uit je leven met pijn´. Also it can be concluded that in general the environment was perceived as supportive, and the course involved the social environment sufficiently in the process. The interviews identified some issues, which deserve attention. In general can be concluded that the intervention has mainly brought positive changes.
