Abstract:Background: At the end of a treatment in the Roessingh rehabilitation chronic pain patients often find it hard to practice the things they have learned in their therapies when they are back home. Method: In this research a prototype of an aftercare program is developed on the principles of ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). The aftercare program consists of an application and a website, where rehabilitators can add their values and actions, a diary, tips and exercises. By means of interviews with chronic pain patients all different pages of the website and application have been questioned. From the answers on these questions is a coding system developed, which makes it able to research the content quality of the aftercare program. De content quality consists of the parts ‘frequency’, ‘first impression’, ‘language’ and ‘substantive conditions’. Results & Discussion: The results of the interviews showed us that the rehabilitators were planning to definitely use the designed aftercare program. Also the first impression of the respondents was positive. The different functions of the application and the website were mostly positive reviewed, except for the diary. The diary showed no useful addition to the aftercare program, also the term diary poorly covered cargo. It can be concluded that the content quality of this aftercare program is sufficient and that the aftercare program may contribute to maintaining behavior for chronic pain patients.
