| Abstract: | The aim of the assignment was to analyse the possibilities for a dust test chamber for Benchmark. Supplemented with designing a dust test chamber, the assignment resulted in a investment plan, consisting of multiple investment options. The investment plan is there to be presented to the management. Besides a new dust test chamber is developed and elaborated for production. This result came to be during the course of three months, which started off with studying the use of dust tests at Benchmark, the test standards and the different types of dust test chambers. Thereafter a dust test chamber is selected and the possibilities for buying a dust test chamber were inventoried. Then a new design process was started, resulting with the aid of concept generating activities and design consults in a chosen concept. This concept is worked out into two variants, one being suitable for a few standards and a more extensive variant suitable for testing a large number of test standards. Two commercial available dust test chambers and the two designed variants were used for the investment plan. Finally a package with technical drawings and manuals for production of the extensive variant is added. |
