Abstract:During my internship at C.T.I., Centro de Tecnologia da Informacao Renato Archer I was working with a high sophisticated motion capture system. This motion capture system is mostly used for movies but at C.T.I., it is used for biomechanical examination. Problem during my internship was, that there were no biomechanical projects at stake and the colleague, who normally worked with the motion capture system had to work on another project. This project should have been finished in the first month of my internship. After this project, she could start another biomechanical project with me and the help of the local university. This colleague worked in the same way with the previous internees. Unfortunately her project took a longer time to finish. So after a few weeks I started to search, in consultation with my colleague, for another assignment. Because, they had some problems at CTI with the motion capture system during the first year of use, my new purpose was to improve usage and solve this previous discovered problems. The problems were mostly discovered in previous projects with Dutch students. I examined their recommendations and implied them in the system. Also I improved the manual for the motion capture system.
