Abstract:The resort island Barbados is a popular island in the Caribbean but it also counts among the developing countries with all its problems especially in relation to the health problem HIV/AIDS. Because of that, this research examines the indications of risky sexual behavior on Barbados and investigates the contribution of the maldaptive and adaptive pathway of sexual behavior of the Barbadian population. The research clarifies which pathway is most common on Barbados. Furthermore the predictors of the risky sexual behavior of the Barbadian population are specified to get a closer insight into the HIV/AIDS problem on Barbados
