Abstract:Mark Freeman (2003) introduced the term ‘narrative foreclosure’ first. The narrative psychology opines that the story which one tells about his life and his identity are the same. Particularly in the second period of life people run the risk of early closure with life-story and so of getting ‘narrative foreclosured’ because of the awareness of the end of life. With this study it is aimed to develop a questionnaire which can grab the term of ‘narrative foreclosure’ and make empirically study in this way possible. Therefore the model by McAdams (2006) will be used wherein amongst others the life-story of a person appears and which emphasizes the importance of looking at one person as a whole. Through three in literature remarkable components the measuring instrument should be developed – ‘closure’, ‘avoidance’ and ‘social closeness’
