Abstract:The aim of this study is to analyze the inducements and expectations (psychological contract) of client organizations concerning their agency workers. Tsui et al. (1997) and Tsui & Wu (2005) state that the labor relation between organizations and agency workers is restricted to the quasi-spot contract and the underinvestment relationship and never will broaden to the mutual investment approach or the overinvestment relationship. Through semi-structured interviews and a short questionnaire this statement has been investigated. Nine interviews within three German organizations have been made and analyzed. Results reveal that quasi-spot contract and underinvestment relationship as well as mutual investment approach and overinvestment relationship were handled by client organizations in relation to their agency workers. Hence, the research results of Tsui at al. (1997) and Tsui & Wu (2005) receive only partly support
